Employee Engagement Revealed:
10 Myths, Misconceptions, and Untapped Opportunities
.
TOM TEREZ was one of the first people doing serious
research on employee engagement. He went straight to the source, interviewing hundreds
of people from all walks of life. This led to his book (22 Keys to Creating a Meaningful
Workplace), his early Web presence, and the launch of his mission to help people
build better workplaces.
Over the years, Tom has led conference keynotes, in-house workshops, in-depth projects,
and breakthrough planning sessions for organizations from the United States (his
home base) to Mongolia to South Africa and points in-between. Clients include private-sector
companies (Boeing, Siemens, Fidelity, Providence Health System, Jacobs Technology,
Cleveland Clinic, and many more) as well as government agencies (FBI, DOE, IRS, SSA,
16 state governments, major counties and cities, and others), higher education (Duke
University, Northern Arizona University, Dominican University), and associations
(SHRM, ASQ, ISPI, etc.).
Tom is the developer of the 5-Minute Assessment series, the Workplace Improvement
Kit, the TC10
Team Communication Assessment,
the TR3 Trust
Builder Assessment Series,
the Workplace Survival Guide, the Difficult Dozen Help Zone, and other resources.
He has written hundreds of articles on change, teamwork, and potential, and his newsletter
has readers from 126 countries.
Tom has an MBA from Duke University
(1989) and a bachlor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University (1985).
He is currently earning a new degree in humility as he raises two teenagers. Tom
enjoys running, biking, and playing the piano. He also likes to play his vintage
Hohner accordion around the house -- the sounds of which put interesting strains
on family life!
